When one thinks of Honolulu, Hawaii scenic waterfalls and ocean waves gently crashing the shore of an amazingly beautiful sandy beach and majestic volcanoes, come to mind. There is no doubt that wonderful memories will be made on your visit to Honolulu. The only pieces of Honolulu you can carry with you are the breathtaking pictures you were able to capture. Listed below are some of the most scenic places in Honolulu.

Waikiki Beach

Waikiki Beach in Honolulu is an excellent place to visit and take some breathtaking pictures. Waikiki Beach, with its crystal clear water and white sand beach is an extremely popular tourist attraction.

The Spitting Cave

The Spitting Cave is an ideal spot for teenagers and adults to visit and take incredible pictures. This area is not recommended for children. Take the time to stand on an enormous rocky cliff that overlooks the raging sea with clear blue skies overhead. Look around you and be amazed by the colossal rock cliffs lining the shore.

Diamond Head Crater

Diamond Head looks out over the Pacific Ocean. Millions of tourists visit Diamond Head each year to take pictures making it one of the more renowned volcanic craters worldwide. Late in the afternoon is the best time to take pictures at Diamond Head. The sun going down in the distance offers a remarkable view of the sunset over Waikiki. It is necessary to hike to Diamond Head Crater, November through February offers the coolest time of year for the hike. A summer hike can be rather hot so be sure not to forget to bring water.

Maunalua Bay

Maunalua Bay provides a romantic ocean side sanctuary for watching the sunset. As the sun is setting, incredible colors begin to appear in the sky. The rays shoot through the clouds while canoes pass by, creating a peaceful scene to photograph. Some individuals are fortunate enough to capture an image of one of the Humpback whales that appear here annually. These whales migrate around Hawaii from November through May each year.

Nu'uanu Pali Lookout

Also known as, the ‘Cool Height Cliff,’ this scenic landscape is between two extremely high cliffs and provides an unbelievable panoramic view. This view overlooks Windward O’ahu. Despite the fact that many times this overlook is struck with high winds, the view is well worth it. Be sure you do not forget your camera to capture the amazing beauty that will surround you.
